Steen Enterprises is proud to welcome Avant loaders to our lineup. Avant is a Finnish brand of versatile loaders that can be used in a wide range of industries, including construction, landscaping and property maintenance.
Why did we choose to become an Avant dealer? Three reasons. First, Avant loaders are powerful loaders that can tackle so many different jobs with nearly 200 different attachments. Second, Avant has earned a reputation over the past 25 years for building high-quality, reliable equipment.
The third reason we chose to add Avant to Steen Enterprises? It’s because nearly all of their loaders are powered by Kubota engines. We’ve been selling and servicing Kubota equipment since 2001, which made Avant a natural fit here at Steen Enterprises. We’re bringing in a brand that we can confidently service from day one.
Avant started making skid steer loaders 25 years ago specifically for feeding cows. Today Avant makes eight different models with horsepower ranging from 13 to 57. Avant also has 190 different attachments for their machines. Buckets, brooms, backhoes, jib booms, round bale grabbers, forks, mowers, edgers and a whole bunch more attachments to make quick work of everyday tasks. Switching out attachments is a breeze.
You’ll find Avant loaders are very stable and easy to operate. All of their machines provide unobstructed 360-degree views. Avant loaders offer the strength of a skid steer loader with half the operating weight. Avant also offers significantly less turf damage and tire wear.

Avant 700 Series
The 700 Series is the largest and most powerful Avant model. Powered by a 57 horsepower Kohler diesel, this loader has a lift capacity of 3,810 pounds and a lift height of 122-inches. Top speed is 10.5 miles per hour. The cab is a standard feature on this series, as is the telescopic boom.
Avant 600 Series
The Avant 600 series delivers the ideal blend of power and agility. The models in this series offer a choice between a 26 horsepower or a 37.5 horsepower Kubota engine. Either option delivers enough muscle to use any of 190 Avant attachments. The lifting capacity of the 600 series is 2,440 pounds and the lift height is 111 inches. The telescoping boom is standard on this series. Lowcountry customers will be happy to know a fully enclosed cab with air conditioning is an available option.
Avant 500 Series
This powerful series is a great alternative to a traditional skid steer. The Avant is more versatile, has greater reach and unlike skid steers, doesn’t tear up softer surfaces with its tires. Because of the way it turns, tires on an Avant loader typically last six times longer than tires on a skid steer.
The 500 series is available with a 22, 25 or 26 horsepower Kubota engine with lifting capacities of 1,750 and 2,100 pounds. You have multiple cab options to choose from and a standard telescoping boom. Like all Avant loaders, this series offers the operator great visibility, comfort and it’s easy to operate.
Avant 400 Series
The Avant 400 is a compact loader that’s easy to operate and gentle on lawns, which makes it a great option for lawn professionals. The 400 series offers plenty of power from its 22 horsepower Kubota engine. Lifting capacity is 1,212 pounds and a reach of 110 inches. If you’re looking for a compact loader to fit into tight spaces, do many different chores and one with a low operating cost, the Avant 400 series is worth a hard look.
Avant 200 Series
The Avant 200 series includes three compact mini loaders. These small units are light, yet have a lifting capacity of 772 pounds. The three models in the 200 series are powered by Kohler engines with 20 to 25 horsepower. Plenty of power to handle a wide range of jobs. Low operating and maintenance costs add to the appeal of this series.
Avant E Series
The Avant e5 is the greenest of the green machines. All electric powered, the e5 is an excellent loader for indoor use because of zero emissions. It is also a very quiet loader, which comes in handy in places with strict noise restrictions.
When it comes to power, the e5 has a lifting capacity of 1,984 pounds, a lift height of 9.2 feet and a top speed of 6.2 miles per hour. As you can see, this all-electric machine can pull its weight in the power arena.
The e5 is equipped with the same Avant quick attach system and multi-connector as the Avant loaders. The e5 if compatible with the large attachment range.
A battery unit powers the e5 and an integrated battery charger makes it possible to charge the battery from a 230 volt / 10A power outlet. Under normal use, the e5 has a run time of 2 hours and under heavy use the battery lasts 1.5 hours.
